and discovered some really great work by many students
teachers and staff. Check out these photos of notice boards
and the new IEP library.

The 2010 Healthy Boy English Camp
The Healthy Boy English Camp was a great success this year.
Grade 2 and 3 students of the IEP had a wonderful time
learning about health topics in an English environment.
The hard work of teachers, staff, cooperation from other
departments, and the excellent facilities of the Eakin
building helped to make this 4 day event possible.
Well done everyone!
Please enjoy the video below and the slide show in the sidebar on the right.

Home Made Coupons are Here!
If you are running low or have not had any coupons
to give to your students this year, the wait is over.
I have made some coupons that look very similar
to the Scholastic coupons that we have been using.
They look pretty good if you ask Preeda to print them
on the departments multi-colored paper.
Download here or I have the template in my classroom #23.
If you send me your email, I can send it to you.

Scrapbook scoring tickets
This is a better way to mark your students scrapbooks.
We all know how tedious marking is as teachers.
But we still need to make our marks and corrections
on student work easy to find and understand for both
students and parents.
I have been using these tickets for about 3 years now in grade 6.
It looks professional and is easy to read. In just about the
same amount of time it takes you to normally mark your
scrapbooks you can fill out this ticket. For teachers, this
ticket makes the students scores much easier to track.
I have received many positive comments in years past
from parents about these tickets.
You can download your own copy here or come to
my classroom for a hard copy.

First week of classes pushed back!
Hello teachers.
Well the first week of classes has been pushed back to May 17th.
That will give you a good opportunity to prepare your lessons and
classroom.
Several teachers have expressed an interest in my classroom
displays, so I will post them here under the "other resources"
tab. Below are 2 links to the official BCC/IEP website where my displays
can be seen. (photo credit: Kun Kosum)

Some of my materials are in different formats that are not readable
on this site, so just send me an email at: darrylsalter@hotmail.com
and I can send it to you.
We all know the computers at work are not fully operational
so maybe we can share resources by email and other means
to get some of your work done.
Happy decorating!
